Functional Description of the Role:

The Consultant / Implementer of Management Systems is instrumental in providing expert guidance for the implementation of effective management systems. This role involves offering advice and support to organizations seeking to establish, enhance, or maintain their management systems. Consultants contribute to the design, development, and implementation of tailored management solutions, ensuring alignment with relevant standards and best practices. Their expertise facilitates organizations in achieving and sustaining compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Education Requirement:

Completion of a minimum of 4 years of university education leading to a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

Training Requirement:

Successful completion of a comprehensive 24-hour training program covering key principles of management system implementation, consultancy and project management methodologies, and relevant standards, including an in-depth understanding of the specific management system standard being implemented (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001).

Skills and Abilities Requirements:

Candidates for certification must demonstrate skills in:

  • Identifying the best practices for documenting a management system depending on the complexity of the organization and its activities, to ensure that the most efficient approaches are used that minimize bureaucracy and ensure the usability of documentation.
  • Identifying and defining the most appropriate steps and approaches for implementing a management system depending on the complexity of the organization and its activities, to ensure that projects are delivered on a timely and cost effective basis.
  • Identifying the responsibilities and competencies required of management system implementation personnel depending on the complexity of the organization and its activities, in order to ensure the most effective use of human capital.

 

Work Experience Requirement:

To qualify for certification, candidates should have a minimum of two years of relevant work experience. Candidates must provide two (2) Letters of Skills Attestation from supervisors or clients, highlighting their skills and contributions in the field. Candidates should have demonstrated their expertise by completing a minimum of two implementation projects, showcasing their ability to effectively guide organizations in implementing management systems. To maintain ongoing certification, candidates must continue to complete a minimum of one implementation project annually, ensuring a consistent and active engagement in the field as a Management System Consultant.
