Functional Description of the Role
The role involves conducting systematic audits of the management system, aiming to pinpoint areas for improvement, assess compliance, and evaluate overall effectiveness. Through the process, the auditor provides valuable insights, delivering objective audit reports that contribute to informed decision-making and continuous enhancement of organizational processes.
Minimum Education Requirement
Completion of 2 Years of University Level Education
Work Experience Requirement
To qualify for certification, candidates should have a minimum of two years of work experience in a relevant field. Additionally, candidates must provide two letters of Skills Attestation from supervisors or clients. In terms of service delivery experience, candidates are required to have conducted a minimum of five audits. Furthermore, to maintain ongoing certification, candidates must continue to conduct a minimum of two audits annually.
Training Requirement:
Completion of a 24-hour Auditor Course covering the knowledge requirements.
Knowledge Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of auditing principles, methodologies, and techniques outlined in ISO 19011.
- Comprehensive understanding of the specific management system standard being audited (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
Skills Requirement:
- Objective and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication and report-writing skills.
Evidence Required for Measurement of Knowledge Requirement
The evidence required is a course completion certificate which is issued after passing a test covering the Knowledge Requirements for this role.
Evidence Required for Measurement of Skills Requirement:
Attestation from a supervisor or client on objective thinking and report-writing skills.
